Warranty Conditions

As manufacturers of the product you have purchased, we are convinced of its excellent quality.
This document describes the general warranty conditions that Mychef grants to its own customers, specifically distributors and installers, hereinafter referred to as customers.
We consider as product or equipment, any item of the Mychef range, referring only to ovens, packaging machines and their corresponding accessories.
Warranty period
The warranty period for our Mychef products is 12 months on components and spare parts from the date of invoice of the Product, with skilled labour being the responsibility of the customer in accordance with the manufacturer’s manuals and instructions.
This warranty period is extendable to an additional 12 months free of charge only for those Products registered during the first 60 days after the invoice date.
The scope of this extended warranty applies only to spare parts or components necessary to carry out any intervention on Mychef ovens and packaging machines only.
General aspects
- The guarantee is non-transferable and is only valid for the Mychef customer who has purchased the products from Mychef.
- The application of the guarantee entails the replacement or repair of the component necessary for the correct operation of the equipment, and the customer must demonstrate manufacturing or assembly defects on the part of Mychef’s customer.
- Excluded from the present guarantee are the travel and labour costs of the intervention.
- Mychef assumes the transport costs of the components in Spain, Portugal, Andorra and France.
- The fulfilment of the warranty services may in no case imply an extension of the warranty period, or a new warranty period.
- The end customer must notify his installer or distributor of the defect within a maximum period of 5 days without delay after it has been detected.
- The warranty does not authorise the equipment to be inspected or serviced free of charge. If during the inspection, Mychef’s official technical service considers that the defect of the existing Equipment is not covered by the warranty, the end user will have to bear the costs of the inspection carried out.
- Warranties can only be covered if the purchase invoice stating the date of delivery is enclosed. Additional claims or other claims (in particular claims for damage suffered beyond the device itself) are excluded from the warranty.
Exclusions from Warranty:
Please note that the warranty does not apply in the following cases:
- There is no guarantee that the product will meet the requirements of the end user or its customers.
- The warranty will be void if repairs or interventions are carried out by persons not authorised by the manufacturer or if the appliance has been repaired with non-original spare parts or accessories.
- As well as incorrectly used and installed according to what is written in the technical specifications and/or user/installation manual.
- If during the warranty period or extended warranty period the end customer has not allowed Mychef or a Mychef authorised representative to perform the hardware or software upgrades required for the product.
- If the Mychef customer has not paid the corresponding purchase price.
If the production number has been removed or is illegible. - Failure by the end user or any third party to comply with Mychef’s checklist, installation manual or prescribed maintenance/revision cycles.
- Defects or damage caused by inadequate supplies of gas or electric current with inadequate voltage or voltage.
- Defects or damage due to equipment malfunction caused by the accumulation of scale, salts or rust in its components.
- Defects or damage caused by water supply that does not meet the requirements set out by Mychef in the technical specifications and in its user manual.
In the event of non-compliance with the requirements of the water supply, the customer must install a means of treatment to provide the required minimum quality. Quality testing of the water supply just before the furnace is connected to the furnace will be paid for by the customer. - The use of detergents and other cleaning products or preservatives which are not clearly approved by Mychef and specified in the user manual of the equipment.
The use of components or spare parts not original Mychef or authorised by Mychef.
Damage resulting from the transport of the product not notified to Mychef 24 hours after receipt by the customer. - Normal wear and tear of components such as oil, light fittings, seals on solenoid valves, weatherstripping, gaskets, seals, probes, door handles, add-on parts, cleaning pads, as well as damage to glass and other add-on or consumable parts.
Spare parts
- Original Mychef spare parts are guaranteed for 6 months from the date of invoice.
- The dispatch of an original spare part will be authorised by Mychef’s technical support department once it has been verified that it is a manufacturing or assembly defect.
- Those components under warranty that are replaced during an intervention for a spare part become the property of Mychef.
Claims under this warranty for a replacement
may be made on the same terms as for a Mychef product, however, the manufacturer may exclude it if the damage is found to be caused by a reason other than the failure of the replaced component itself. - If it has not been possible for the customer to carry out the check, the manufacturer shall offer the customer:
- Shipment of the spare part whose own costs, as well as transport costs, shall be borne by the customer, and shall be paid for once the defect has been checked in the factory by the assigned department. Otherwise, no payment will be made. The shipping of the defective component will be managed at the customer’s expense.
- If payment is made, the defective component becomes the property of Mychef.
- Claims under this warranty may be made for a replacement on the same terms as a Mychef product, however, the manufacturer may exclude it if the damage occurs for any reason other than the failure of the replaced component itself.

The personal data that Mychef receives from end customers will be included in an automated file owned by Mychef and processed in accordance with current legislation on the protection of personal data (Organic Law 3/2018, of 5 December, on the protection of personal data and guarantee of digital rights).
These will be stored and could be used to inform marketing actions, maintenance notices, communication of promotions, training or advertising through communication channels such as email or post.
The customer may contact Mychef to access his data, rectify them, delete them, request their portability or oppose them, as well as to limit their processing, if he so wishes, through the channels indicated in section 6 of the present document of guarantee conditions.
