As the owner of La Taverna del Ciri, he has managed to transform what was traditionally the cuisine of an inn into a high-end gastronomic proposal, while maintaining a deep respect for local roots and traditions.

Who is Marc and where does his passion for cooking come from?
I consider myself a ‘project under construction’, because my career and my approach are still evolving day by day. My passion for cooking stems from my love of food. Since I was a child, I have always loved to eat, and it was that passion that drove me to learn how to cook, especially traditional Catalan cuisine. Although I am clear about where I want to go, I am always learning and adapting my style to perfect it and look for new ways, culinarily speaking, to express myself.

What are the most representative dishes of your restaurant?
Dishes such as traditional cannelloni, Rossini cannelloni with foie gras, rice of the day and meatballs with cuttlefish stand out on the menu at La Taverna del Ciri. These are traditional recipes that I adore, prepared with a contemporary touch that makes them unique and special for our diners.

In my kitchen, technology is a fundamental ally. Mychef ovens make it easy for us to do traditional cooking with a technologically advanced touch. They allow us to work with controlled humidity, ensure that flavours are kept at their maximum and that nothing burns, all with programmes that simplify our work immensely.
